Poetry in Motion with North Reading School of Ballet

Students will explore what happens when poetry and dance intersect by creating their own original works of poetry, both individually and within small groups in a writer’s workshop format and by developing their organic material into spoken-word and choreopoem presentations.  Students will choreograph movement phrases that interpret the story and emotion of poetry, both their own and famous works, using dance to represent the emotional and rhythmic content of poems.

Students should dress comfortably and bring socks
