Adults, join us once a week for a nice outdoor walk! Weather permitting, our recreation staff will take you on a new easy walk/hike each week that you can add to your list of great places for a walk. We will take walks in some of our beautiful AVIS trails in Andover as well as Harold Parker and some simpler walks like the loop at Ipswich River Park. All hikes/walks should take approximately 1- 1.5 hours including driving to and from start location. All hikes/walks are within a 10 minute drive. Most hikes/walks can be done with sneakers but hiking boots may be a better choice in some winter conditions. We would only be able to do the trails if we do not have snow or ice. Each week we would post the meeting location by Monday morning or notify you of cancellations due to weather or other circumstances. This program could be for those of you who need a little motivation to get out for a walk or for those of you looking for some companionship on the walk or just looking for a new area to walk! Registration is a must and we require a minimum of 4 walkers to run the program. We will have a staff member at front and end of group. We will socially distance walkers. If we get interest, we may add a second day/week or a second session for the month of March.
This program is FREE but you must register so we are within Covid guidelines.
All walkers must wear mask. Dress for the weather and have both sneakers and boots available in car for walk.
REQUIRED: Health & Wellness form MUST be completed and submitted electronically each morning prior to attending walk.
